Where
There is Water,
There is Life
Water For Life's mission is to demonstrate God’s love by empowering Haitian communities.
Within our staff and to those we serve, we demonstrate the Love of Jesus Christ by loving and helping one another without discrimination, improving the quality of lives through a democratic, honest, and transparent governance.
Learn MoreThe Divine Help School has been operating since 1989. God has blessed us with a very nice facility for rural Haiti. For many years our school went through 6th grade only, but we have been adding a new grade from time to time for the past several years.
As of 2019 our school includes all high school grades. From Pre-K through high school our enrollment is approximately 600 students.
The Government doesn’t have the means to ensure an efficient distribution of health resources. The majority of the health care facilities are concentrated in Port-au-Prince and in other larger cities. This situation deprives remote areas of structure to ensure the provision of even basic health care to the population.
God has been blessing Water For Life’s well drilling project over the years; we have drilled over 2,000 working wells, providing clean water to over 700,000 people and over 100,000 livestock. Each well provides water for approximately 350 people and 50 head of livestock.
We are happy to tell you that today the numbers are-- over 2,300 working wells, providing water to approximately 805,000 people.
We are excited to announce our newest program that directly deals with evangelization and discipleship training. At this pavilion is space for meetings and for activities with local children and youth, with the ultimate purpose of focusing on their spiritual lives and growth. In addition, the pavilion can be used for other meetings such as seminars for church leaders, for married couples and other groups.
We are so glad to report that we have been able to get back to work these past several months; our school is functioning ; Our drill teams go out and work; our pump repair teams are also busy!
Nevertheless now is not the time for visitors to come see what we are doing. Instead, please continue to pray for safety for our staff, and for the country of Haiti to make necessary changes so that life can become normal again and people's lives will not be endangered by gangs. Ask for God to pour out His blessings on His followers and to make them shine with His love for others.
This year, our mobile clinic returned to the community of Zoranje in Jacmel—and what a blessing it was. Long before our vehicles arrived, people were already gathered, waiting with hope and expectation. Their smiles, their patience, and their trust reminded us once again why this mission matters so deeply.
Thanks to your generosity and prayers, 460 people received essential healthcare services, including:
Among those we served were several patients diagnosed with cataracts. These individuals will be referred to a partner eye clinic, and Water for Life will provide financial support so they can receive the surgery they need. For many, this will mean the gift of sight restored—a life-changing blessing made possible because you chose to care.
Your support is not just appreciated; it is crucial. Every consultation, every medication, every prayer shared with a patient is a direct result of your compassion. You are helping us reach communities where healthcare is scarce, and hope can feel distant. Together, we are bringing both.
Scripture reminds us: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)
In Zoranje, we witnessed those “good works” in action—through the hands of volunteers, the generosity of donors, and the grace of God guiding every step. When we serve the sick, the weary, and the forgotten, we are participating in God’s own mission of restoration. May we continue to walk faithfully in this calling, knowing that every act of love echoes the heart of Christ.
