Where
There is Water,
There is Life
Water For Life's mission is to demonstrate God’s love by empowering Haitian communities.
Within our staff and to those we serve, we demonstrate the Love of Jesus Christ by loving and helping one another without discrimination, improving the quality of lives through a democratic, honest, and transparent governance.
Learn MoreThe Divine Help School has been operating since 1989. God has blessed us with a very nice facility for rural Haiti. For many years our school went through 6th grade only, but we have been adding a new grade from time to time for the past several years.
As of 2019 our school includes all high school grades. From Pre-K through high school our enrollment is approximately 600 students.
The Government doesn’t have the means to ensure an efficient distribution of health resources. The majority of the health care facilities are concentrated in Port-au-Prince and in other larger cities. This situation deprives remote areas of structure to ensure the provision of even basic health care to the population.
God has been blessing Water For Life’s well drilling project over the years; we have drilled over 2,000 working wells, providing clean water to over 700,000 people and over 100,000 livestock. Each well provides water for approximately 350 people and 50 head of livestock.
We are happy to tell you that today the numbers are-- over 2,300 working wells, providing water to approximately 805,000 people.
We are excited to announce our newest program that directly deals with evangelization and discipleship training. At this pavilion is space for meetings and for activities with local children and youth, with the ultimate purpose of focusing on their spiritual lives and growth. In addition, the pavilion can be used for other meetings such as seminars for church leaders, for married couples and other groups.
We are so glad to report that we have been able to get back to work these past several months; our school is functioning ; Our drill teams go out and work; our pump repair teams are also busy!
Nevertheless now is not the time for visitors to come see what we are doing. Instead, please continue to pray for safety for our staff, and for the country of Haiti to make necessary changes so that life can become normal again and people's lives will not be endangered by gangs. Ask for God to pour out His blessings on His followers and to make them shine with His love for others.
For many years, our team has carried the deep conviction that serving our brothers and sisters requires both human dedica- tion and the right tools. Drilling new wells and maintaining existing ones is essential to bringing clean water—and renewed hope—to communities in need. Yet without reliable equip- ment, even the most generous efforts can be slowed. A broken well cannot serve a thirsty family, and a truck in constant repair cannot reach the villages waiting for water. These challenges have tested us, but they have never shaken our commitment. This season, we are humbled to share two extraordinary bless- ings. After many months of delay, our long-awaited container has finally been released from customs. It left the United States in September 2025, and today it stands with us—filled with the casings, pumps, and essential materials needed to continue drilling and restoring wells. Even more, we have received two new repair trucks, accompanied by skilled technicians who ensured they were fully operational. After years of struggling with aging vehicles on difficult roads, this renewal feels like a miracle. These gifts will allow us to reach more communities, repair wells that have been silent for too long, and continue offering the most precious resource of all: hope.
