Water Brings Joy to a Village

Water plays a vital role in our life; unfortunately, access to clean drinking water still remains a challenge in Haiti. “According to the UN, water-borne illnesses are one of the leading causes of death in Haiti. Water For Life in Haiti

You are the light of the world!

As you may have heard in the news, the situation is deteriorating in Haiti. In the past 2 months roadblocks and violent protests spreading throughout the country have made access to food, clean water, and health care extremely difficult. Many schools, especially in the larger towns and cities, have not yet had one day of classes this school year. It is difficult for the hospitals to keep providing care to the needy.
As Christians we may not feel that we are changing things much, especially in cases of turmoil and war. And yet, amid darkness God has allowed us, during these two months, to continue our mission to the poorest with 15 water wells drilled, 56 pumps maintained, and 500 students in class every day at Divine Help School.
Most of the time we do not see ourselves as God sees us, even when God Himself tells us in Matthew 5:14 what we are for the world: the light. By this word, Jesus judges us worthy to represent Him.

Light is defined as this extraordinary phenomenon that illuminates the world and makes it visible; it is a source of life and security.

Indeed, as God’s beloved children, we have received the light that makes us capable of great and beautiful things for those around us, for our family, and even for people living far away.
Dear friends, rest assured that each contribution towards Water For Life projects leads to Christ all the people who belong to Him.

Obstacles and difficulties are opportunities to shine so others can see. We believe that someday Haiti will be different-- a country at peace under the gracious love of God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let us shine!
