Hurricane Matthew hits Haiti

Hurricane Matthew hit the south coast of Haiti with full force the night of October 3, leaving behind a path of destruction and despair. Strong winds and rain and terrible flooding destroyed many houses and crops. After a sleepless night, many faced the new day with their only possession the damp clothes they were wearing.

A mother clutches her children and stares at the destruction of her little house that she worked so hard on, not knowing how she’ll be able to secure a roof over her children’s heads and feed them. She wonders, after making made so many sacrifices already to send her children to school, Will there be a school for them to attend, knowing the roofs are off so many, the benches blown away?

A warm meal, a roof, a normal life is what they are asking for. At Water For Life, we will follow God’s word on Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms” 1 Peter 4:10 NIV. However, we cannot do it without you. These men, women, and children desperately need YOUR help.
